Sarah Young ’16 presents at Society for Neuro-Oncology Annual Meeting
Sarah Young, a member of the Class of 2016 at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, presented her study, “Identification of Novel Therapeutic Targets for Glioblastoma Stem Cells,” at the Society for Neuro-Oncology Annual Meeting held November 13 to 16, 2014, in Miami, Florida. Young’s study was funded by the American Brain Tumor Association, a national organization dedicated to providing funding and education on different types of brain tumors. Young’s study was one of nine studies presented at the meeting that the association funded.
Young’s coauthors on the study included Zhi Sheng, an assistant professor at the Virginia Tech Carilion Research Institute, as well as Yanping Liang, Sunjuan Guo, and Susan Murphy, all members of Sheng’s research team.
