Title IX prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in any educational program or activity that receives federal financial assistance. These programs and activities include admissions, recruitment, financial aid, academic programs, athletics, housing, and employment, among others. This program will address strategies to prevent sexual misconduct, with a special emphasis on the responsibilities that faculty, staff, and students have in maintaining a respectful environment.

Participation in this event will earn two hours toward a Diversity Associate certificate.

The program is free. Lunch will be provided. Register by March 16.

Dale Robinson has been the compliance and conflict resolution manager at Virginia Tech since 2007. His role is to make available a variety of conflictresolution processes and strategies, including mediation to faculty and staff to enable them to resolve disputes in the university setting. He also serves as a resource in investigating harassment and discrimination complaints for the university's human resources department. He is a Virginia-certified mediator and a member of the Virginia Mediation Network.
