The diversity that international students and faculty bring provides many benefits and also potential challenges for institutions of higher education. The differences in values, norms, and behaviors become apparent in various ways through communication styles, learning beliefs, work styles, and more. Participants will:
• Explore the dimensions of intercultural competence.
• Learn skills that may help them succeed in an intercultural environment.
• Participants consider the links between cultural communication tools, contextual understanding, interpretation, and the dimensions of culture.
