The Biological Basis of How We Learn, Remember, and Use Information

Brain School seminar

Michael Friedlander, PhD, Executive Director, Virginia Tech Carilion Research Institute, and Associate Professor for Health Sciences, Virginia Tech

How do we learn, remember, and act on information? Dr. Michael Friedlander will offer neuroscientific insights into the processes that underlie effective learning. He will address findings from a range of research approaches, including molecular, physiological, cell biological, and behavioral ones. He will also share the results of functional brain-imaging techniques that have been used to illuminate learning, memory, recall, and the application of learned information in a range of settings.
