In the middle of the night an ear realized its dream of becoming a kidney.
It decided then and there
And that was that.
It began collecting as much wax as it could, forming tubules and tufts, here and there.
Soon enough, a few dead skin cells served as a fine fenestrated epithelium.
It filtered and secreted away.
And the ear was happy.
Because for the first time in its life,
It finally felt heard.
