Dean's Diversity Champion Award Nominations are now open!

The Dean’s Diversity Champions Award recognizes significant achievements of faculty and students toward developing a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive community.

Eligibility

Nominations are welcome from any member of the VTCSOM community. Up to ten awards will be given each year in the following categories:

  • Medical Students (two from each class)
  • Faculty (two)
  • Employees (two)

Priority will be given to nominees who were not previous recipients of a Dean’s Diversity Champions Award.  

Award Criteria

Diversity Champion Award recipients should exemplify one of the following:

  • Diversity
  • Equity
  • Inclusion
  • Belonging
  • Advocacy
  • Ut Prosim

Nomination Process

  • Self, VTC employee and student peer nominations encouraged.
  • Nominators must select the area in which the nominee exhibits the award criteria and answer the following question: In 500 words or less, please tell us why you think your nominee should be recognized as a Diversity Champion.

Selection process

The selection for all of the awards will be made by the VTCSOM Council for Diversity and Inclusion.
