Scholarship in Education Award
We are pleased to announce the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine (VTCSOM) Scholarship in Education Award, designed to recognize and promote excellence in educational scholarship among our faculty. This award aims to honor those who have made significant contributions to medical education through innovative teaching practices and the development of academic resources that benefit the broader educational community.
Eligibility
- Open to all current VTCSOM/Carilion Clinic faculty members.
- Applicants must have demonstrated a significant educational contribution in the past two academic years.
- Applicants should have produced a scholarly academic product that has been shared with the educational community.

- Interested faculty members are invited to submit the full application in a single PDF to Alaina Guerry, Manager, Office of Educational Affairs (malaina@vt.edu)

- Application Open: December, 2025
- Submission Deadline: March 27, 2026
- Review Period: Rolling Reviews conclude by April 17, 2026
