Taking place each year on the third Monday in January, the Martin Luther King, Jr., Day of Service (MLK Day) is the only federal holiday that is also designated by Congress as a National Day of Service.

On January 16th, join the VTCSOM Humanism in Medicine club and Renovation Alliance to revitalize the home of a local Roanoke resident in need. Past projects have included building accessible ramps, replacing unsafe flooring, and replacing windows. Apart from counting toward service hours, this is a great way to give back to the community. Anyone affiliated with VTCSOM, FBRI, Radford University, Carilion Clinic, as well as family and friends are welcome to sign up to volunteer. Please sign up by January 10.
