Faculty Vitality & Physician Wellbeing Committee

As a national leader in health care delivery and education, Carilion Clinic-Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine (CC-VTCSOM) places a high value on the wellbeing of our people and the conditions of our workplace.

The key purpose of the CC-VTCSOM Faculty Vitality & Physician Wellbeing Committee is to serve as a resource for a comprehensive program intended to improve the work life and well-being of physicians, faculty, and other clinicians. This work is also known as "improving the experience of caring" or the "4th Aim."

This Committee will develop, implement, coordinate, and provide guidance for workplace wellbeing activities including education, intervention, prevention, monitoring, and research. The work of this committee will be one tangible demonstration of our organization's commitment toward advancing the 4th Aim and fostering an environment in which all clinicians can thrive.

The Committee is jointly sponsored by the Dean of the Medical School and the Chief Medical Officer of Carilion Clinic. For more information, contact your department's representative.
