The Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine dedicated a remembrance wall in honor of charter class student Caroline Osborne, who passed away in 2014 from cancer. Her parents donated a special quilt that Caroline's fellow classmates had made with their white coats to comfort her while she was undergoing treatment as well as other mementos of her to go on the wall, which honors her memory and raises awareness about the scholarship in her name.

Speakers for the event included: Lynne Pearo, director of alumni affairs; Aubrey Knight, associate dean for student affairs; Matthew Joy, fellow charter class member and current plastic surgery resident; Roland Osborne, Caroline's brother; and Dean Cynda Johnson.
