The inaugural Arts in Medicine Show at the Virginia Tech-Carilion School of Medicine and Research Institute will hold an opening Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
More than 50 pieces of art by more than 40 area artists will be featured. A special gallery will feature the work of 40 local and regional high school artists who submitted work that addresses the theme "What is medicine?"
The opening of Arts in Medicine is free and open to the public. The Creativity in Health Education Program, which organized the show, will hold additional art shows that rotate approximately every four months. For more information, contact Alison Matthiessen at 526-2525.
