Dry Anatomy Lab

Our dry anatomy laboratory can be used as a classroom for both students and also for training sessions for standardized patients. The room houses dozens of anatomy models that students can use for a deeper understanding of human anatomy.

There is also an anatomage table that looks like a human-sized iPad. Several human models are represented on the table. Using this tool, students can explore and manipulate different layers of anatomy with the swipe of a finger.

The Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine is also on the cutting-edge of ultrasound curriculum, using high tech portable ultrasound machines as another way to learn about and visualize human anatomy.
