The VTCSOM Campus
The Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine is located on a health sciences campus that encompasses the Virginia Tech Carilion Research Institute, a Carilion Clinic outpatient building, and neighbors the Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Virginia.
Purpose-Built Space
The medical school’s portion of the building has been specifically designed around the patient-centered curriculum. Students have a truly dedicated learning environment that includes:
- Fourteen dedicated team rooms with individual storage and study space
- Ten Objective Structured Clinical Exam rooms
- A dry anatomy laboratory
- Access to the Virginia Intercollegiate Anatomy Laboratory
- A medical library with study space and small conference rooms
- A media center
- Specially equipped symposium rooms
- A large lecture hall
- A student lounge, recreation area, and wellness space
