Morgan Dana Harrington Memorial Scholarship
The Morgan Dana Harrington Scholarship Fund honors the life and spirit of a special young woman who touched the hearts of all who knew her.
Morgan Dana Harrington worked at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine for a summer before returning to Virginia Tech for her junior year of study. In her short time at the school, Morgan's ebullient laugh and can-do spirit left an indelible imprint on our team. This scholarship was created to honor her memory.
"Morgan was a shiny, loving, beautiful original. She was very much loved by her family, friends, and her community, which has now expanded to include much of the world. We cherish the time we had with Morgan and are grateful for the breadth and variety of experiences we were able to share in her tragically abbreviated life. Many people have been asking me about remembering Morgan. This new scholarship seems appropriate, since she worked with me at the school for a summer and I believe her experiences with the professional women mentors there changed her life."
—Daniel Harrington, MD, Vice Dean, Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine
