Here's a look at just a handful of our outstanding students who are supported by scholarships. Scholarships help the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine attract and retain the best students in the country. They are critical to being able to reduce the debt load on our students.

Drawing from her own experiences of growing up with a chronic illness, as well as those of her younger brother with autism, Catherine Lavallee holds a particular interest in persons with disabilities.

Medical student vows to pay it forward in honor of scholarship namesake
A life of service to others was instilled in Celine Marlin Andrews at an early age. Growing up in a small town in Pennsylvania, she attended a school focused on developing students’ intellectual, artistic, and practical skills in an integrated and holistic manner.

Medical student envisions future in medicine close to her Hispanic roots
Natalia Sutherland received the Morgan Dana Harrington Memorial Scholarship in 2018. The scholarship helps offset expenses for a deserving student who is a member of an underrepresented population at the school or who demonstrates financial need.
