Four Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine students inducted into medical honor society
May 6, 2019
AOA is the oldest and most prestigious national medical honor society in the nation. Each year, chapters at each medical school across the country induct new members at the Junior (3rd year medical students), Senior (graduating 4th year medical students), Resident Physician and Faculty/Attending Physician level. Nomination and induction into AOA is a tremendous honor, as it represents the highest level of achievement across multiple aspects of one's career, including academics, research, clinical skills, leadership, and professionalism. At VTCSOM, we highly value success within each of the four major value domains, Basic Science, Clinical Science, Research, and Interprofessionalism, that form the foundation of our medical education.
