Josh Meyer to join VTCSOM as Director of Communications

Dear Colleagues,

We are happy to share that Josh Meyer will join the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine as Director of Communications on Dec. 10. Josh, a proud Virginia Tech alum, comes to us from Virginia Western Community College where he led a five-person team as the Director of Marketing and Strategic Communications.

Prior to his 10-year tenure at Virginia Western, Josh worked in communications for the University of North Carolina’s Institute for the Environment and Action for Children North Carolina, a child advocacy organization. After earning his undergraduate degree in communications from Virginia Tech, Josh worked in journalism for The Roanoke Times and The Raleigh News & Observer before pursuing his master’s degree (public relations/marketing) from UNC.

Josh, a Roanoke native and the son a retired local pediatrician, lives in Roanoke County with his wife and three sons.

We look forward to welcoming Josh to VTCSOM and introducing him to our VTC community!
