Happy Holidays from VTCSOM
As 2021 comes to a close, we can look back on a year of impressive successes, fond farewells, and exciting conversations about what our future will look like at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine.
Our medical school community represents a spectrum of diverse cultures, faith traditions, and beliefs, much like the broader communities that we serve. We are a rich patchwork of individuals who serve together to make VTC a strong, caring, innovative and inclusive medical school. We strive every day to prepare the next generation of physicians to practice cutting-edge health care and support health care transformation, in order to shape a healthier future for our patients and communities.
Throughout this pandemic especially, we have all witnessed the strength and compassion of this school, city, nation and world, affirming that even though we may sometimes seem far apart, we are closer than ever.
I extend a personal and heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you for being on this journey together as we learn, grow, and adapt on our path to success. Without your trust, compassion, engagement, and support this would not be possible.
As we celebrate this holiday season, I hope we all get to spend time reconnecting with loved ones, recharging our batteries, refreshing our outlook and renewing our commitment to help one another keep this community the special place we call home. May all that is beautiful and meaningful bring you joy and comfort now and throughout the coming year.
Happy Holidays from all of us here at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine!
