Accreditation Update - October 2017

October 26, 2017

A year from now, our LCME site visit will be over (last day of our site visit is October 24, 2018). Yesterday marks the first day of our twelve month count down in preparation for the site visit and we are in great shape with several milestones completed this past spring/summer.

Below are activities we are focused on:

This fall the Institutional Self-study chairs began their meetings in October to review the subcommittee reports as a group. Their efforts will result in a final self-study report which will be final November 30. Dean Johnson completed a full review of the LCME DCI (3,432 pages) a few weeks ago which will result in minor revisions to a few element responses.

This winter the Executive Summary Report will be drafted by February 15, 2018, this report is 35 pages and describes how our school operates from an evaluative and evidence based stand point using thoughtful analysis from our LCME DCI, Independent Student Analysis (ISA) and the Final Self-Study Report. An executive committee will discuss the draft report and by the end of February our Executive Summary Report will be final.

To kick-off the New Year, starting January 2018 the accreditation website will begin posting weekly questions and prize drawings testing your knowledge on accreditation. It’s a great way to start the new year!
