Dean Lee Learman joined Senator Tim Kaine and representatives from medical and educational institutions across the region for a health care workforce development roundtable at Radford University on April 12.

Discussions included ways to increase the numbers of health care providers who train and remain in the area, the importance of diversity in medical education, how we can better support our rural communities, the need for more residency opportunities, and the significance of expanding student loan forgiveness for health care workers.
