Cook Counseling Services in Roanoke
VT Cook Counseling Center supports Roanoke campus mental health services and has placed an embedded counselor, Heather Morrow, on the HS&T campus. Heather's office is located in 1 Riverside, Room 204. Heather has appointment availability on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays throughout the fall 2025 semester. Cook Counseling Services in Blacksburg
In addition to on-campus counseling services in Roanoke, VTC students are able to receive counseling support through Cook Counseling (540-231-6557) on the Blacksburg campus located at 220 Gilbert St Suite 2400, Blacksburg, VA 24060.
TimelyCare is 24/7 virtual mental health support for students. It is a free resource for all students and employees of Virginia Tech. Learn more.
Early Alert is a text-based crisis prevention resource. Students have the opportunity to opt-in to this regular check-in support resource. To learn more about Early Alert, reach out to Dr. Holt Foerst.

Cook Counseling Services in Blacksburg
Cook Counseling has psychiatry services in addition to counseling services. Joe Frieban, MD is on the HS&T campus in Roanoke every Monday (1 Riverside, Room 205A). To connect with Dr. Frieben, students should work with Heather Morrow or any VT Cook counselor for a referral (540-231-6557).
