FA-5012 Faculty Grievance

1.0      Purpose

To establish the VTCSOM process for faculty members to follow in addressing a grievance.

2.0      Policy

All VTCSOM faculty members will follow specified grievance procedures as found in the appropriate section of the Virginia Tech faculty handbook.

3.0      Procedures

VTCSOM faculty have appointments that fit broadly into three university categories:  tenure track faculty (VT handbook chapter three); non-tenure track instructional faculty (VT handbook chapter five); or administrative/professional faculty (VT handbook chapter seven).  There is guidance within the university faculty handbook for grievance procedures, depending on category of appointment.  All designated procedures found in the university faculty handbook will be strictly followed.

Questions pertaining to the grievance policy should be directed to the VTCSOM Office of Faculty Affairs.
