It is vital that we create an environment in which we all feel that we belong, and our contributions are valued. Alexander Scott will lead a conversation share his experience and expertise in building an environment that supports and encourages difficult conversations about issues of diversity and inclusion.

The conversation’s topics will include:

  • Dimensions of diversity.
  • Communication filters through cultural perspective
  • Cultural linguistic competence
  • Implicit Association Test (IAT)

Alexander Scott Bio

Over the past years, I have had the pleasure of working in the areas of education, aviation, and business. My educational background is also in those three areas, and I hold degrees in education, marketing, and certification in aviation. My experiences have been varied and have provided opportunities to work in private and public education and colleges.

I have a B.A in Modern Languages and Literature, MBA in Marketing, Masters in teaching Spanish as a foreign/second language, Graduate certificate in Business Communication, and Masters in Applied Linguistics to the teaching of Spanish.

I have been teaching for more than 19 years. I love teaching and it has been my passion since high school. I strive to create an environment where my students enjoy and have a great educational experience.
