2016 White Coat Ceremony
The Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine held its annual White Coat Ceremony on Friday, Oct. 21, for the Class of 2020. Jon Sweet, associate professor of internal medicine for the school, was the evening's keynote speaker. In addition to reciting a modern version of the Hippocratic Oath, the class president read a set of guiding principles developed by the class. Family and friends of the students, as well as school leadership, staff, and friends of the school packed the auditorium to see the ceremony followed by a reception.
