A Welcoming City: Resources, strategies, and challenges to aid refugee and immigrant families with integration

Join VTC Unfinished for a discussion of the obstacles that refugee and immigrant families face once they enter the United States, as well as the community efforts in place to help overcome these obstacles. Topics covered will include unique healthcare needs, educational resources, community and organizational support, and federal and state policies that facilitate this process. Special attention will be dedicated to the perspective of the family, the challenges faced, and the ways in which the medical community can better serve this growing population. Come hungry and eager to engage in thoughtful discussion with peers, physicians, and community leaders. Dinner will be provided!
