VTCSOM Library Gets a Facelift

New tables and collaborative spaces within the library

You may have noticed that our library looks a little different this year. We heard your feedback and put it to action. The new floor plan of the library at 2 Riverside maximizes the outdoor light and windows and gives users more room to spread out.

The library staff worked to maximize the seating capacity with added tables and ensured that all seating now has convenient access to power for laptops and electronic devices. In addition, the library collection has been re-shelved to make finding materials easier. The reserve section is now in one location and the entire general collection is housed together. The library still offers all the same equipment and digital resources, and the whiteboards and office supplies are now more conveniently located as is the coffee machine!

Also, the VTCSOM Library Conference Room is being updated with a new monitor, computer, Solstice (for collaborative work), and A/V system. It will also display a panel outside the door which will let our patrons know whether the conference room is in use or not. The VTCSOM conference room can be reserved daily from 8am-5pm.

Stop by, and take a look!
