NL Bishop Honored For Building Community Bridges
NL Bishop, senior associate dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Carilion Clinic chief diversity officer, was honored with pastors George Anderson and Bill Lee at the National Multiple Sclerosis 32nd Annual Dinner of Champions held at the Hotel Roanoke and Conference Center on June 22. The three honorees were lauded for building bridges in the communities in which they live and serve while seeking solutions to societal challenges on local, state, and national levels.
Dean Lee Learman, who served as one of the event’s vice chairs, commented, “I’ve been privileged to witness how Drs. Bishop, Anderson, and Lee bring people from diverse backgrounds together to deepen our understanding and build programs for the good of our community. Our work at VTCSOM and on the Roanoke Collaboration Project has deepened my appreciation of their skillful leadership, passion, and commitment.”
