About Us
The Fralin Free Clinic at the Rescue Mission serves individuals who are currently at risk of being homeless, experiencing homelessness, and those transitioning into permanent housing in the Roanoke Valley.
The clinic operates under a volunteer Medical Director and numerous other volunteer healthcare providers. The staff and volunteers provide the care and services an individual needs to improve their quality of life.
Our club aims to create a strong and long-lasting relationship between VTCSOM and the Fralin Free Clinic. We will give VTCSOM students the opportunities to volunteer weekly at the clinic to provide care for patients and hone the student interview and physical exam skills under the supervision of an attending physician. Our secondary goal is to expose our students to the patient population (specifically the patients experiencing homelessness in Roanoke).
