Nutrition in Medicine: VTC Community Kitchen
A partnership with LEAP Kitchen and Virginia Tech Cooperative Extension to teach the Roanoke Community about disease-specific diets.
This club participates in
- Free demo cooking classes with Carilion Clinic patients
- Each class centers around a different disease process
- All recipes are WIC / CHIP, budget friendly
- Medical student volunteers to help create demo curriculums, teach classes, recruit patients, & more
