The Public Health Club serves to connect medical students to opportunities that sustainably support public health in the community. Through these activities, the club aims to help students learn about the spectrum of ways they can incorporate public health into their future medical practices.

Members of the club have opportunities to:

  • Learn from public health professionals and community members in the region
  • Administer vaccines
  • Train on the use of naloxone for overdose prevention
  • Conduct public health mobile outreach work
  • Contribute to street medicine initiatives that support unhoused individuals
  • Get involved with health department programs
  • Advocate for local and state policies that promote public health
  • Participate in health education at local schools
